Our repair process, step by step

Contact the dealer - or use one of our approved repairers

>The first step is to contact the dealer who sold you your vehicle. If that’s not possible - or if they can’t help you - please contact our helpdesk on 0800 0778 489 who will assist you in finding an approved repairer. Alternatively, please click here to fill out our online enquiry form.

Once they’ve received these details, a member of our team will be in touch to discuss how we can help you. If you do use your own repairer, they may ask you for payment directly, which you will then need to claim back from us. It’s important you follow Steps 2 to 4.

Explain what's wrong with your vehicle

> Let the repairer know what you think the problem is and arrange a convenient time to book your vehicle in for repair. Be sure to tell the repairer you have an Automotion warranty, so they can make the necessary arrangements with us to get your repair carried out.

You’ll need to authorise the repairer to examine your vehicle and diagnose the fault - so we can check the problem’s covered by our warranty.

Authorising your repair

> It is very important you don't authorise any repairs being carried out before the repairer has confirmed with us that the work they'll be doing is covered by your Automotion warranty.

Once your repairer confirms we've authorised the work, you can have them get started. If you want them to do any additional work beyond what's covered by our warranty, you'll need to agree this separately with the repairer before they start work.

Paying for your repairs

> Normally we’ll pay your repairer directly - so there’s no paperwork for you to complete when you pick up your vehicle.

If you’ve agreed for additional work to be carried out beyond what’s covered by your warranty, you’ll need to pay for this yourself.

If you’ve selected a repairer of your own, who isn’t one of our approved repairers - and you’ve already settled their bill - click here to send us their invoice, and we’ll arrange for you to be reimbursed.
